Days like these

Had to squat down to take a pic with Lucy (the dog lol) cause she has this condition where whenever she gets too excited, she pees. So can't carry her.. I swear small dogs get generally really excited about everything. Big dogs don't give a shit HAHAHA.... Sigh.

Swimming & catch up session at Ee Vern's condo, of which I forgot to bring my bra for post-swimming cause I wore my bikini and went.. How typical of me! So had to go all the way home wearing my wet bikini top, my boobs were so cold wtf. Had a good dinner of Fatty Crab afterwards & wanted to go Inside Scoop for ice-cream dessert, but it was packed to the brim with people. Ended the day at my place instead.

I love days like these.

Sewing projects

Did this a while ago, since even before Bangkok. I was quite happy with this cause I think my sewmanship (wtf) on this is really not bad.. Except that I accidentally made the straps too long. Used the same leftover fabric from when I made this top:

Also recently finished this, even though I started it since.. Before Bangkok again hahaha. Talk about procrastination. Sewmanship not as good on the top as it is on the bottom, I did the pattern freehand with no reference.. But I would definitely wear the top out though, as compared to the shorts. I sort of... Accidentally, made the shorts too short. So sleeping pajamas it is lolol. (Sorry no progress pics at all, don't think anyone would be interested in the half made product than the end product.. I'll remember to take some next time though!)

The color of the fabric is a bit too bright for my liking though, I've been more into monotonous colors lately, but I bought this fabric a long time ago, and it does remind me of the waves and the sea! Anyway, any ideas, suggestions on what I should make next? I've hit a sewing block lolol. Someone told me to make lace runner shorts but I already have a few lace runner shorts so it would be a bit pointless to make more.. Anything with lace I guess? I bought plenty of pretty lace but I'm not sure what to make!

Hmm.. Probably after I've gone through my stack of clothes to alter, I'll think of something!

Problems (No, not the song)

Top; H&M / Skirt; @ihearts_tiara / Bag; F21 / Necklace; China

What really irks me is how lightly people make of other people's problems. How some people are so insensitive. These are the people that brush your problems aside and call it insignificant, just because your problems don't involve starvation or death. They tell you "don't complain!" and "be thankful for what you have!" and "there are other people having it worse than you are!

Seriously, fuck you.

I believe that everyone has their own problems big or small, but it is not for YOU to determine how relevent or significant they are. Take for instance, I dunno, a panda and a whale. A panda's problem is its diminishing supply of bamboos. Obviously the problem of not having enough bamboos is insignificant to a whale, who doesn't care jack shit about bamboos (probably doesn't even know bamboos exists) (no shit sherlock), so who is the whale to judge and deem the panda's problem as insignificant? Should the whale tell the panda to be grateful that at least he still has bamboos, or to suck it up because a sea urchin somewhere out there has it worse? HOW THE FUCK DOES THE SEA URCHIN'S PROBLEM GONNA MAKE THE PANDA'S PROBLEM SEEM ANY LESS IMPORTANT?? Their problems are not even related and they're world's apart, SO HOW CAN YOU EVEN COMPARE THE TWO PROBLEMS?

Ok fine. The panda, whale and sea urchin might be a bad metaphor, but I hope you get where I'm going. Different people have different problems, and it is not up to you to belittle their problems just because other people have it way worse. One person's problem might not seem important to another, but it could mean a lot to that person alone. If someone confides in you their problems, nobody wants to hear "be more appreciative of what you have" or "other kids have it worse". NO. If anything, it makes things even more shittier, because we already know that other people DO have life threatening problems but we just can't help but feel so conflicted about something of, I personally feel, lesser importance.

Seriously, shame on you, if you've ever done that to anyone. Even if you feel like your friend's problem is really stupid, the best you could do is fucking give support la. We're not telling you our problems so you can make us feel even worse about it. It might not seem important to you, but it could be everything to us.

Also read a quote somewhere and it goes something like this:

"Telling someone they can't be sad because others have it worse is like saying someone can't be happy because others have it better."

Rant over.

Singapore

Went Singapore about 2 weeks back. Visited some parks I've never been to before, like their Jurong Bird Park, River Safari, SEA Aquarium and Gardens by the Bay. Man, I dunno why is it just me but I looove parks. Feel like my family and my boyfriend don't share the same interests in parks and whatnot, which is kind of sad cause this means no one will be enthusiastic about going with me :(

Didn't take much pictures cause I just kept forgetting to charge my camera haih.

SEA Aquarium

A lot of people have been saying how SEA Aquarium is so so much better than Malaysia's Aquaria. I agree that it is somewhat better, but to say that Aquaria is shit is very biased and unfair. Just because it's a Malaysian attraction, doesn't mean it is any less adequate. Aquaria is just as good. You're freaking Malaysian, even though Malaysia is not perfect in some ways, can you not act so biased towards a country NOT your own? God. People like that annoy the shit out of me I swear (post for another day)

Jurong Bird Park

Fucken penguin enclosure why so fucking cute and tropical wtf. Look at all those little penguins just stoning. Probably thinking why the fuck is it baking in here lolol.

HELLO THERE CUTIE PATOOIE

River Safari

The monkeys were so cute...... That is, until we found out that the monkeys peed into their hands and wipe it all over the RAILINGS. We were so horrified because we were holding onto the railings the whole time lol fml.

Here's where the Panda is, Kai Kai and Jia Jia! My god I swear they're so fucking cute, we spent an HOUR alone in that enclosure. And they eat! They eat and eat and eat, NON STOP, of just stuffing their cute little face pouch in with bamboo! It was all so fascinating. I swear we were so engrossed with just watching them eat, like National Geography but live lolol. Also spammed a lot of panda pics cause why the fuck not. They're endangered what!

Red Pandas! Equally cute too hahaha. I swear the pandas enclosure is so so clean and utterly smell-less.. Cause well, in a CLOSED enclosure, I expect to smell panda shit lolol. Not that I want to smell panda shit.

Gardens by the Bay

Someone told me not to go cause it would be really boring, but no leh! I love this place! I'd love to go back (and make sure to bring a fully charged camera, that is) Its really really beautiful, like I wouldn't mind just bringing a book and chill there, but I don't think I'd pay just to go in and read lolol. Also took A LOT of daisy pictures cause I swear they're so freaking pretty, I couldn't help myself!

July haul

Not really a haul kind of person but I'm super super happy with my July haul! Here's some of it:
Can you believe these two came in a set!! As in, top and bottoms set, though, pictured here is only the shorts.. And yeah I couldn't decide which color to get so I bought both sets!

Same with this too, came in a top and bottoms set, and I bought both colors again! Originally thought since I couldn't decide, I should get both and decide which one would look good on me, then sell off the one I didn't want.. But nope! When it arrived, my dilemma just escalated further and the easiest course of action was to just.. Keep all lolol. Shit.

The black dress is my FAVORITE one most of all. It is super body flattering thanks to the stripes I guess. The horizontal stripe makes my waist look trimmer and the vertical one makes my body look longer HAHA. Talk about optical illusion! Nah worn pic:

Problem is.. I don't really know whats the right occasion to wear this to! Casual or smart casual? Ugh suggestions please!

Also thinking about bringing these in to sell (I bought everything here overseas), but I don't know if people would love this as much as I do! Plus, I might have a booth with my friend at Curve's weekend flea market somewhere in Oct/Sept, so I'm thinking of selling these along with my camera lenses and my preloved clothes, how now brown cows?

Trendy Bella

Heartshaped sunglasses, skinny gold metal belt and velvet-leather clutch from TrendyBella!

I can sort of see myself wearing the heartshaped glasses to the beach, to raves, concerts, even on a hot day walking around KL.. So it's not bad I guess :p

I really love the belt and the clutch. The gold plated metal belt is kind of the trend right now, and a closet must-have to cinch any loose fitting dresses or rompers. I personally have a similar belt that I use A LOT, but I bought it for a bit more expensive than TrendyBella's (RM25 compared to theirs - RM20) plus the quality and it's look is not as good as theirs!
Clutch is amazing too! It is SUPER good quality, no exaggeration there. I've bought clutches from other blogstores before and the "leather" quality is really shit; it's all soft and there's no shape to it. But for this clutch, the leather is hard and good quality, and it also comes with an attachable sling. But the plus point is.. BLACK AND GOLD HELL YEAH. Yep, favorite color combination ever is black and gold.
Dressed up the plain dress with the metal belt, clutch, sunglasses and statement cat liner and bold lips! I usually like to dress up with statement necklaces, but I guess in this case, I'd go for something different: statement glasses, belt and clutch! ^^

Anyway, they will be having a booth at Markets, Jaya One! So make sure you check them out..  For me, I'm still considering if I should go or not, spent a bit too much lately and I already have so many clothes.. But then again, I hardly ever miss a Markets event (they have one about every 2 months) plus I started going Markets since I was about 16, and I'm 19 now, so maybe just for old time sake :p

Nah more info:

*Yea yea, I know I said that that last ad post was the last one, but this suddenly popped up and I have a deadline.. But chill la, I've got loads of posts lined up lolol dunno why so hardworking. I think mostly because I am very very lifeless.
